The 900 Club

  • This has become our largest and most active forum because the physics GRE is just one aspect of getting accepted into a graduate physics program.
  • There are applications, personal statements, letters of recommendation, visiting schools, anxiety of waiting for acceptances, deciding between schools, finding out where others are going, etc.

The 900 Club

Post by butsurigakusha » Sat Mar 01, 2008 12:07 am

If the 700 folks get a club, I think we should too. This club is for anyone who scored 900 or above but still got rejected by at least one school.

I actually haven't officially been rejected anywhere yet, so I am not officially a member of this club. But, I will be soon.

You're such an ass :) . A 900 is definately something you should be proud of. Good job all of you and I am sure that you all deserve the best for your efforts. I spent all summer and fall studying and only got a 740. I worked hard and it just wasn't enough. It seems that you all have an excellent memory and test taking skills, both of which are needed in this field. Anyway, I am glad all your hard work is paying off and you're getting into top programs.

I'm not trying to be cocky, this is really just a response to a comment on another thread that the 700 club is more powerful than the 900 club. I had to fight back somehow.

I never implied you were. My comment was not sarcastic, really! Was there a certain part of my post that seemed to indicate otherwise? I was really just congratulating all that did do well on that damnable test. I meant no harm :D

I think we all are on the same page (all are just trying to bring the humor back to the forum)

I wouldn't want to be a part of the 700 club - I never was a fan of Pat Robertson.
