Redshift. You know... whenever a light source moves away from the observer?

I think we're both stationary and the aether is stretching out...oh wait there's no aether? Maybe that's why I didn't get any relativity questions right on the GRE.

Peder, I think everybody on a PHYSICSGRE site knows what a redshift is....sarcasm is apparently not your friend.

let's all help educate tnoviell and tell him what a redshift is.

It is sudden change in politics towards a more conservative viewpoint.

Example "California had a total redshift a few years ago and elected our current governator. I couldn't believe it!"

Oooh, okay. It's all making sense to me now. I wonder why that was never covered in any of my physics classes? Must've been a liberal-bias thing.

Arnold can hardly be considered conservative.

Having him as my governor is one of the things drawing me to study in California. I don't even know who the governor of my state is.

haha me too. i wish he could run for president. just imagine this situation:
some crazy country threatens to attack us. arnold meets with the leader of that country to negotiate. arnold politely tells his secret service escort to leave the room for a minute. he then proceeds to lift up the leader of the other country by the throat with one hand, warning him of the consequences of *** with the US. the leader then decides not to attack the US.
well really i guess he wouldn't need the SS or anything - i've seen bullets bounce off of him before.

Jeesh tnoviell,
Wasn't that a gre question? Redshift is the shift toward conservatism and a blueshift is the shifting of two points to the right of conservatism. Yes, my faith in the democrats has been demolished...

Go Ron Paul!

/me runs away
