Who do you like the most?

Let's see who our favorite is. We all know who the Reverend Fermiboy is voting for.

I don't know why you're a prick. I just needed a third name for the poll (to correspond w/ RG's poll) and I saw one of your jerky remarks in a recent thread so I put you up there.

I'm mad because I wasn't in the "who do you hate" poll. I get rejected for everything. So I thought I would be a jerk and start this poll.

Hey physicsdude, you were accepted to Harvard and you didn't let us know? Prick.

I used to like hanging out at Harvard square, although I haven't been there in a couple years. As long as they still have Bertucci's, then it's still all good.

What is Bertucci's? I have never had the privilege of walking on the hallowed ground of Harvard Square. Are people with 730 GRE scores even allowed into the Cambridge area? (no sarcasm directed at you tnoviell, the first question was serious).

I didn't apply to any ivy league schools, because I am more interested in learning physics than how to be a snob.

Bertucci's is an awesome chain restaurant that serves a mighty good pizza pie. Plus they have one of the better Newbury Comics, a pretty decent CD/DVD-type store - usually their stuff is pretty cheap, although I've noticed prices slowly crawling upwards.

Yes, people with less than a 730 on the PGRE can go to Cambridge, mainly because I've stepped foot on the campus with a far less than 730 score. I don't know too much about Harvard the university, but I have had the unfortunate experience of eating campus food at MIT on one occasion. There's a good story that goes along with the experience, but you need to be sitting down and drinking a beer or 10 with me to share.

I see the majority of us are Gardenites, which is important since physicsgre.com was founded on Gardenite principles. We're a Gardenite nation.

Yeah that post made no sense to me. But the cool thing is, while most badly worded sentences on this forum simply make an annoying post even more annoying, anytime RG makes grammar errors or incoherent remarks, the posts just seem hilarious, even if they don't mean anything!!

Yea each year's class has to have a class prick. The purpose of this prick is to unite the rest of the forum members behind a common cause of hating the prick. Last year it was devilsadvocate, who was later found to be a fake.

This year, physicsdude noticed the tensions building over the racial remarks, sexual references and admissions decisions, and decided he must redirect our anger at himself in order to save the forum...

As for the poll, I don't know how anyone could not vote for garden. garden is a deity, an inspiration, our savior. multigoal is a nuisance, and physicsdude is physicsdude.

On April 15, 2008, there will be a heroic battle between garden and multigoal. This will determine whether we all become gardenites or multigoal clansmen. It will influence all of our philosophies behind grad school admissions, the GRE and international students. We must wait, until that day, Tuesday April 15, when everything will unfold.

Awesome. We can order it on Pay-per-View. You buy the chips and I'll bring the dip. There better be a steel cage involved.

Like all religious minorities you will be persecuted and tortured. You will be driven from your homelands and mocked by those in power. Your churches will be vandalized and your children will be harassed. You'll be banned from participating in the PTA.

Ok. Well then, we must take it upon ourselves to convert these pitiful souls back to gardenism or multigoalism within the next two months before the day of reckoning.

physicsdude, what did Daddy think of you spending all his Ivy League tuition money on a physics degree? Shouldn't you being majoring in business with all your elitist friends? You'll never have any power in this country with a lowly physics degree.

I'm not pissed off. I think his comments are funny. It's tough to tell if it's sincere or a parody, kind of like visiting a creationist website.

RG, I don't think it's appropriate to talk about someone [edited by Grant: Yes I agree this is not appropriate] on this forum. Say what you will about being too politically correct, I find that usage offensive for several reasons... which may not be your intent but are readily apparent anyways.

LMAO. Wow. A first author paper huh? How many times are you going to keep saying that? You talk like you're the only one with a journal article on the whole freakin forum.

physicsdude: Me go to Ivy League school. Me have first author publication, and it's not my first first author publication. Me so busy working on my non first first author publication that me don't have time for this forum, but me keep posting. People who post on here a lot are losers. Repeat.

You know, at first I felt bad for putting his name in the poll. I just needed a third name and I remembered someone had called him a prick recently, so I put him up there. Then I made that prick remark and that's when he started responding. After his responses, I don't feel bad anymore, I think it's hilarious. However, I have been pretty disruptive on here lately so I apologize to everyone for that. My posts on here are a great stress reliever for me.

All the best physicists are. With physicsdudes's Ivy League education and his dick attitude, he's on the fast track to becoming a physics legend. Too bad he's removed most of his posts or we would have his remarks for posterity when he wins the Nobel...
