Did you know...
Michael Jordan was cut from his high school basketball team.
Tom Brady was drafted in the 6th round.
The Beatles were rejected by every record company until they were finally accepted by the last company they sent their record to, Parlophone (a third rate subsidiary of EMI).
Movie execs told George Lucas that Star Wars would be a huge flop in 1977.
Sheldon Glashow was rejected by Princeton.
Robert Laughlin was rejected for a job at Bell Labs.
What do all of these people have in common? They didn't take no for an answer, they went out and kicked ass until they achieved their dream. So for all of you out there who are feeling down about being rejected like me, just think of people like the ones above. They were all rejected too, and they used that rejection as motivation. Let's do the same, let's make all these top programs regret that they didn't give us a chance.

I'm not saying most of us on here will be the Jordan of physics (I think we already have that person, his name was Einstein) , but what I'm saying is that Jordan and the Beatles were all rejected too, even though they would go on to become the greatest in their fields. Basically I'm saying that people who make decisions about how talented people are don't know ***.
No, this is our Jordan: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pascual_Jordan
