GAPSFAS WHAT??

  • This has become our largest and most active forum because the physics GRE is just one aspect of getting accepted into a graduate physics program.
  • There are applications, personal statements, letters of recommendation, visiting schools, anxiety of waiting for acceptances, deciding between schools, finding out where others are going, etc.

GAPSFAS WHAT??

So I was browsing through the AIP data last night for schools that I'm applying to, and suddenly noticed that several of them have an entry:

GAPSFAS application required: Yes

And since I never saw any mention of that on the admissions pages, I never filled one out. Are they requiring this for funding considerations? What is the deal, is it standard practice to fill one out if you want to get funded or an assistantship?

Nuts, I hope it isn't too late to submit it...

Dude, no one needs a loan to go to Physics / Astro grad school. We get paid for it, no matter how little.
