Merry Christmas !
Merry Christmas to you all you guys!
Have fun.
Leave the Physics behind!

thanks guys, same to you! Yes I have left the physics behind, I'm finally done my apps. I stayed up all night into christmas eve to finish them, and then the next night I was up all night playing cards with my parents, haha.
I still need to make some calls to see if they received my stuff. MIT and Harvard both had confusing information online as to where to send transcripts. I saw a few different addresses on the websites and they did not clearly indicate which one they go to. But for the most part I'm done and relaxed.

Yea RG, I did the same thing. While the address drken gives is clearly written on the application website as the place to send the transcripts, elsewhere in the department's website it says the following:
"
Please send transcripts, any paper evaluations, and all other paper supplemental materials IN ONE ENVELOPE directly to the department to which you are applying addressed to:
[your department name]
Massachusetts Institute of Technology
77 Massachusetts Avenue, [your department room number]
Cambridge, MA 02139-4307
"
And when you look at the physics department's website, it says its address is 304.
I agree, mathlete, they should be organized enough that our transcripts will end up at the right place eventually, but I hate having to wonder about these things, and it's scary that the MIT website would have conflicting info in the first place. A strong physics department could still have a disorganized front office with bad secretaries.
The Harvard website had a similar discrepancy, but in their case I'm even more worried because the two addresses are in different buildings, and Harvard's deadline passed last 2 weeks ago and they're closed until Jan 2nd.
Ugh. I guess I could just call and ask if they have my stuff... but the MIT website tells us not to... Does anyone know if it's ok to do so anyway?
