I took the GRE general test twice. The second time I focused on my verbal score, but I saw a drop in my writing and math. Here are my scores:
Test 1:
Q - 167
V - 157
W - 4.5
Test 2 (taken about a month later):
Q - 166
V - 162
W - 4.0
I saw a huge jump in my verbal score, but I was not expecting my writing and math to go down. I have already sent the second test to a few of my schools. Should I send both tests?
Which GRE general scores to send?
Which GRE general scores to send?

Re: Which GRE general scores to send?
Did you mix up your quant scores? The way you posted them, it looks like your score went up, not down.
Anyway, just one point less in math shouldn't make much difference, and I don't think the writing section is too big of a deal. I'd just send both.

Whoops you're right. I fixed it.theladybug wrote:Did you mix up your quant scores? The way you posted them, it looks like your score went up, not down.

If the writing section is not that big of a deal, I'm thinking about only sending the second scores. I'm not that worried about the 1 point difference in quant, but I was not sure if a difference of 4.5 vs 4 is a huge deal.

I think either scores are good, but I disagree with sending them both when you have a choice: it doesn't show a really significant improvement nor regression, so what is the point?
