Cornell n SantaBarbara totally suck

  • This has become our largest and most active forum because the physics GRE is just one aspect of getting accepted into a graduate physics program.
  • There are applications, personal statements, letters of recommendation, visiting schools, anxiety of waiting for acceptances, deciding between schools, finding out where others are going, etc.

Cornell n SantaBarbara totally suck

Post by cancelled20080417 » Thu Dec 06, 2007 4:07 pm

These are the two places wher no body shud consider applying!!!

coz they really suck!!

Cornell wil freeze you to death, and SantaBarbara will drown you to death!!

No body knows what exaclty goes on in these places!!

Let these places fall SHORT of applicants THIS YEAR, It will be a lot of fun!

LET us determine the FATE of admissions committees of these places this YEAR, NOT the other way around!!

:D

Yeah, I agree with you twistor. The Universities we are applying to need us so much I think they should be the ones writing "statements of purpose" telling us how suited we are to help them reach their goals and how much we would benefit if we chose their programs. Not the other way around. 8)

I'd love to send rejection letters to Harvard:

"Dear Harvard,

After serious consideration of your application offering me a graduate position at your university you have been rejected. Though your research is outstanding, your overall university GRE score was not high enough for me to consider doing research for you.

I encourage you to try again next year, as I will again by accepting applications from universities.

Thank you for applying.

Sincerely,

Twistor the Wise"

Conversely, does that mean if a school rejects me that I can decline their rejection and get my Ph.d. there anyway?
