Acceptance/good news thread

  • This has become our largest and most active forum because the physics GRE is just one aspect of getting accepted into a graduate physics program.
  • There are applications, personal statements, letters of recommendation, visiting schools, anxiety of waiting for acceptances, deciding between schools, finding out where others are going, etc.

Acceptance/good news thread

Post by shep23 » Mon Jan 26, 2015 6:57 pm

Following last year's example, post your good news here! We can also use this as a source to see which schools have responded already.

For example, I received my first acceptance and got into Penn State for Astronomy on 1/24!

Anyone else have any good news yet?

There's a decision dates thread here: http://www.physicsgre.com/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=5871

I got my acceptances from New Mexico and Colorado State on the 16th. Still waiting on Caltech, USC, Michigan, MIT, Boulder, Oregon, and Washington.

Make sure everybody to also post your results at http://thegradcafe.com where they have a nice form that makes these things easily searchable.
