It seems that we are the victims of funding cut

  • This has become our largest and most active forum because the physics GRE is just one aspect of getting accepted into a graduate physics program.
  • There are applications, personal statements, letters of recommendation, visiting schools, anxiety of waiting for acceptances, deciding between schools, finding out where others are going, etc.

It seems that we are the victims of funding cut

One guy admitted from Stanford said in gradcafe that in the letter they mentioned there are 750 applicants for 15 spots. In 2013 and 2012 the enrollment was 32 and 40 respectively. Also noticed on grad cafe that a lot of applicants with great credentials get rejected from Yale. Is this really due to the huge funding cut?

What cuts? NSF? I heard the funding level hadn't changed.
