Undergraduate research:Research group on Classical Mechanics

Post by chiranjib » Mon Nov 21, 2011 9:40 am

I am a second year student in India ( about undergrad junior level in US probably) and need some research projects under my belt to get an additional amount of scholarship but I am unsure about the meaning of a project; is it a paper with abstract, intro , body and references as we see in those journals or is it another thing

I want to do some work on classical mechanics ( especially regarding the effect of gas clouds and asteroids on bigger planets' orbits and its similarity to Brownian motion) so any suggestions are welcome.
