If any of you were accepted to the following universities...

  • This has become our largest and most active forum because the physics GRE is just one aspect of getting accepted into a graduate physics program.
  • There are applications, personal statements, letters of recommendation, visiting schools, anxiety of waiting for acceptances, deciding between schools, finding out where others are going, etc.

could you put the name of the school and all your achievements and test scores? I am trying to get a feel for where I belong and I could use your help:

Stony Brook
Purdue University
University of Maryland
University of Washington
University of Michigan
University of Texas, Austin
University of Illinois-Urbana
Carnegie Mellon

I will probably list more schools as I look through them but again, thank you for the help.

This site might help, they have most of the schools you mentioned:
http://graduateschool.whogotin.info/Sea ... am=Physics

Click on the peoples names on the left of the list to see where they were accepted and what their stats were. Be careful to look at their country of origin, there are a lot of foreign students on that site and it is much more difficult to compare your record with theirs (unless you are international yourself)

This thread: http://www.physicsgre.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=554
may also help. Many people list their stats here and where they were accepted. Try using "edit" -> "find in this page" to search the thread for you particular schools of interest.
