does anyone have any idea about great grad. schools to go to learn and do research on quantum information theory?

Stanford AP's Yoshi Yamamoto does interesting experimental work in quantum info and mesoscopic optics, MIT's center for ultracold atoms does work on control of single quantum states, and I believe Yale has a pretty good all around group of profs working in quantum info.

i am planning to do theory, rather than experiment.
so, probably, if there is any suggestion for a theorist will be great.
thanks a lot!

I know a student of Antony Leggett who is doing theoretical quantum computation.

It is very likely that garden has made a new username after the humiliation we insensitive English speakers have directed his way. any one of these single-post usernames could be garden's attempt to give himself a fresh new start on physicsgre.com.

quantum computing research is also taking place in Waterloo at IQC (Canada). McGill I think also has some quantum computing research.

We shouldn't pick on non-native English speakers. If we were to attempt to speak some foreign language unknown to us, we wouldn't do any better.
