Ultimate Procrastination

  • This has become our largest and most active forum because the physics GRE is just one aspect of getting accepted into a graduate physics program.
  • There are applications, personal statements, letters of recommendation, visiting schools, anxiety of waiting for acceptances, deciding between schools, finding out where others are going, etc.

Ultimate Procrastination

Post by ticklecricket » Thu Jan 27, 2011 9:00 pm

Anyone else still got grad school apps that they're working on? I've got two more that I *still* haven't finished, simply because I'm racking my brain over the SOP (Read: Incredibly lazy) I did all of my other apps the day before they were due, how about you guys?

I didn't even realize there were deadlines this late.

I was up close to the last deadline, but forced myself to finish before a research conference, so I didn't have to finish them in the hotel there. :P

And deadlines back in Dec. or Jan 1/2 I submitted the day of or the day before, simply because I could always find something to tweak in my SoP.

Good luck with yours, just get them done! You'll feel much better.

Disagree. I wish i still had deadlines that hadn't passed. I'd feel like there was still something I can do, and I wouldn't be so freakin nervous. My advice: keep at least one outstanding application for as long as possible, and postpone your Jittery January (to Fidgety February?).

EDIT: No, no. Definitely Fitful February.
