PGRE~ 800---Enough?

Post by kolahalb » Fri Nov 05, 2010 11:35 am

Do progarms like UW (Madison), SUNY, Penn State or UMD accept PGRE score close to 800 (international student)? I am a week away from PGRE and still getting scores in this range from the practice tests. My Gen GRE is (760+490) will get recommendations from one or two famous scientists in the field (HEP).I also have one paper in a Physics Education journal (IAPT) and submitted another in AJP..I was wondering if they put any cut off on the PGRE marks...

You should check the Results link in the top bar below google ads. A quick search showed that at least this Bangladeshi http://www.physicsgre.com/memberlist.ph ... le&u=15842 got into SUNY SB with PGRE of less than 800.

I think if the rest of the application is strong enough, 800 in PGRE won't hurt!
