E&M--Griffiths vs HRW

Post by satyad18 » Thu Dec 31, 2009 11:55 pm

Hello all,

I'm retaking the test in the coming November. I had studied E&M from HRW very thoroughly(almost three times by now). So I was thinking whether I should turn to Griffiths for E&M, as I want to do really well the next time. Is it worth or should I just revise it from HRW.?

I'm using the following books:
QM by Griffiths
Modern Physics by Beiser
HRW

Plz comment..
Thank you.

Image charge method and EM waves are not treated in HRW. so you have to do them, since they are very important from PGRE POV, so I would recommend Griffiths for them.

Ok. And I already have a book on E&M by Hayt and Buck. I found it to be good. Hmm..or may be I should try out Griffiths!
Thanks.
