what are my chances of getting in?

  • This has become our largest and most active forum because the physics GRE is just one aspect of getting accepted into a graduate physics program.
  • There are applications, personal statements, letters of recommendation, visiting schools, anxiety of waiting for acceptances, deciding between schools, finding out where others are going, etc.

I don't think you will be accepted at MIT or Berkeley. I believe you have a chance at the others (with different probabilities, of couse.) I would say you can be confident about William and Mary and Georgia Tech.

Good luck.

Why are you only applying for applied physics at Cornell
and not the others?

i've always been a big fan of cornell applied physics dept....they do a lot of collaboration with other departments (engineering, chemistry, biology ....)
Another reason is their program in Plasma Physics..
