Re: physics departments results
Columbia should be taken off that list... Chemical Physics is a different department than Physics.
EDIT: Also, the Berkeley decision was for the Biophysics program, not Physics.

I think UCLA Medical Physics is a separate program.
Re: physics departments results
UCSC decisions are for astronomy only. I believe.

Re: physics departments results
Well I don't plan to be accepted to UCSC but I hope it is truly just for Astro. and not for Phys. - keep the hope alive for as long as possible .
Re: physics departments results
If that "Princeton" is my interview on Friday, that was actually for the (separate) plasma physics program.

I also think Ohio State decisions have only been for Astro programs so far. Or so it seems.

Re: 2009 Physics Department Results
I checked my application status for Stony Brook (http://graduate.physics.sunysb.edu/cgi- ... tudent.cgi) and it has been changed from just saying 'complete' to the following:
"Your file has been reviewed. You will receive a notification about the decision in a few days.
Although a decision has been made, we need time to make a final check on the documents received with the application. Also, sending a notification to you directly (instead of posting the result here) protects your privacy. Please be patient."
Looks like decisions may go out soon!

Just checked mine...still "Your file is complete and it is under review by the Admissions Committee."
Hope that doesn't mean it's a rejection...
Re: 2009 Physics Department Results
My status for Stony Brook still says its incomplete. They are missing one of my transcripts. WTF, considering I personally send them both in the same envelope

I'm sure they were biting their nails just as hard as us when they were waiting to hear if they got into their Interpretive Dance MA program that turned out oh-so well for them, haha.Helio wrote:there is nothing better than a secretary with no clue in this world.trani wrote:My status for Stony Brook still says its incomplete.
