Admissions

  • This has become our largest and most active forum because the physics GRE is just one aspect of getting accepted into a graduate physics program.
  • There are applications, personal statements, letters of recommendation, visiting schools, anxiety of waiting for acceptances, deciding between schools, finding out where others are going, etc.

So...

Many of you have now or will soon finish submitting your applications.

I have a bit of advice: stop thinking about it for a bit. Stop reading the stuff on this forum. Go and have fun.

Worrying about the applications and trying to guess your chances (maybe based on other people's profiles, for example :D ) for several months is needlessly stressful. You will either get in or not and the committees won't give you extra points for being stressed.

Best of luck everyone!
