Schools asking for your scores in online applications

  • This has become our largest and most active forum because the physics GRE is just one aspect of getting accepted into a graduate physics program.
  • There are applications, personal statements, letters of recommendation, visiting schools, anxiety of waiting for acceptances, deciding between schools, finding out where others are going, etc.

Schools asking for your scores in online applications

Post by dsperka » Tue Oct 28, 2008 12:24 am

I was looking at some applications and it seems at least some schools ask you to report you GRE scores in the online application section. Does anyone know if you can just leave these sections blank and have the school get your scores in the mail or is it wise to wait until you know your score so you can fill this part out?

If you leave it blank and it's required the school will assume your score isn't available yet and will hold your application until it receives official score reports from the ETS. All of your materials must be received by the deadline, though.
