Re: April GRE scores are now available by phone
Just called in, I got 860. Just wondering, how good of a score is 860? I am a domestic applicant interested in applying for top 10 schools; should I consider retaking the phys GRE's to try to score higher?
Re: April GRE scores are now available by phone
No 860 is a very good score. No need to retake it. Congrats!

Re: April GRE score
Just got my score in the mail. 770 (71% percent), with 25 wrong--embarrassing! Since I haven't found anything about average Physics GRE scores for the NSF and Hertz Fellowship and the like, so let me ask you, anonymous font of wisdom--should I retest? (U.S. citizen, 3.86 GPA overall, and I should get an MPhil in Physics from U. of Cambridge next year. Since I know where I'll be in the fall, I'm only starting to think about where to go thereafter--any thoughts on nanophotonics, possibly even in an engineering department?--but I'm pretty vain so I'm sure I'd like to go to one of those top-10 schools that has a PGRE average close to 900.)
