TA Stony Brook

  • This has become our largest and most active forum because the physics GRE is just one aspect of getting accepted into a graduate physics program.
  • There are applications, personal statements, letters of recommendation, visiting schools, anxiety of waiting for acceptances, deciding between schools, finding out where others are going, etc.

TA Stony Brook

Post by PeterGriffin » Thu Mar 20, 2008 5:58 pm

howdy folks.
I got offered at TA at Stony Brook: 16500/9month.
Quite surprised since gradschoolshopper says that a TA was paid 18500/9month in 2006/7.
Does any one whos got a TA offer from Stony Brook have a higher (or lower) number?

9 months? Don't they realize a year is in most cases 12 months long?

Every program that I've actually looked into the financial offers from generally extends assistantship through the summer if you prove yourself not to be a complete freeloader.
