Taking Maths GRE in addition to Physics

  • This has become our largest and most active forum because the physics GRE is just one aspect of getting accepted into a graduate physics program.
  • There are applications, personal statements, letters of recommendation, visiting schools, anxiety of waiting for acceptances, deciding between schools, finding out where others are going, etc.

Taking Maths GRE in addition to Physics

Postby benjamin_DW » Tue Jul 19, 2016 12:04 pm

Hi All,

Does anyone have any opinions on the advantages/disadvantages of taking the Math subject test as well as the Physics one? The project I'm looking to work on will definitely be theoretical... On the other hand, if they won't even consider the scores, I don't want to waste my time and potentially lower my Physics ones.

Any help much appreciated! :)
