Are you physics or astro? I'm waitlisted in the astro department at UT Austin and they notified me of that by email the first week of February. It may be different for physics though, and I know not all schools notify their waitlisters.

Go check your email box for anything CMU-related; some waitlistees have already gotten in while I'm still waiting in limbo, since I'm on the new waitlist because my position on the old one is not high enough...
I provisionally committed to Minnesota, in the event that new waitlist I'm on would not take anybody off it before April 15.

I declined JHU just now. Sorry. It was a hard decision as they gave me a rather good offer. Hope you get in!

Please decline U of Tennessee, Knoxville offer as soon as possible if you are planning to go to another school. This school perfectly matches with my research interest.

As far as I'm concerned, please decline 1. Washington University in St. Louis and 2. Carnegie Mellon if you do not want to go there.
