heidelberg Physics

Hi Guys
So at last I had one interview for M.Sc physics at university of heidelberg......but still they haven't replied anything....they told me they mail at the end of Jan 2012........I am hoping for the best (keeping my fingers crossed)......I am just wondering what is ratio of accpectences in such universities for summer terms. did anybody know how many people they take for admission in summer term at university of heidelberg.......usually what is the chance of a person getting selected after interview at heidelberg.................................... :?

You're not going to get many responses here on this topic as this is a primarily American forum, but my experience with Bonn last year was they also told me late January but for whatever reason the decision came in mid-Feb. So I wouldn't rule anything out just yet... they did tell me during the interview point though that in Germany you interview a lot more candidates than not, so maybe a third to a half of those interviewed are accepted in the end.

I also remember though that the MPI in Munich just waitlisted me without mentioning anything and I only learned in April or so that I was rejected despite similar timelines, so being waitlisted may be another possibility.

Personally I would wait another week and send an email to whoever arranged the interviews asking what the status is, as it's a fairly standard thing to send such queries.
