Multiple Applicants from the Same School

  • This has become our largest and most active forum because the physics GRE is just one aspect of getting accepted into a graduate physics program.
  • There are applications, personal statements, letters of recommendation, visiting schools, anxiety of waiting for acceptances, deciding between schools, finding out where others are going, etc.

While your undergrad school has weight, I don't think they say to themselves "Well, we already have someone from that school." If you are good applicant you're a good applicant. I know they want diversity, but I don't think it would make sense to pass someone up because they went to the same school as another person they're admitting.
