Astronomy vs Physics

From reading around on here I've gathered it's easier to get into Astronomy than Physics but can anyone put some sort of number on how much easier it is, GPA-wise or PGRE-wise in specific?

For example to get into a top 10 astronomy school compared to a top 10 physics school, how would those applicants compare?

I know you can't really put a number on it but I'm just looking for a rough estimate.

Thanks.

You could do this yourself you know.

Compare a school's (say Harvard) astro program vs their physics program.

Also search the profiles thread. There are no hard numbers out there, just statistics, and no one has compiled them yet. If you figure something out post it up to help people in the future.

Astronomy can be defined as a branch of science dealing with the nature and movement of objects such as stars, planets and galaxies. But now a different definition of astronomy. This includes the study material and outside the Earth's atmosphere and have their own physical and chemical properties. Some difference of opinion, including, astronomy is the study of everything. This is because astronomy is the study of the universe and everything is part of the universe.
