"we will contact you if we are missing any materials"

  • This has become our largest and most active forum because the physics GRE is just one aspect of getting accepted into a graduate physics program.
  • There are applications, personal statements, letters of recommendation, visiting schools, anxiety of waiting for acceptances, deciding between schools, finding out where others are going, etc.

"we will contact you if we are missing any materials"

This is what admissions people say when you ask them if your application is complete. But do you think they mean it, or is it just their way of saying we're too lazy to look up your status for you?

Anyone ever heard of someone getting rejected because of incomplete materials?

i think they mean it, i've read some other posts were people have mentioned being contacted by the admissions office.

but getting rejected for an incomplete app is possible i suppose, and it really scares the crap out of me.

if you get rejected because you have an incomplete app and nobody
contacted you there not going to lose any sleep over it.
