Valentine's day expectation

  • This has become our largest and most active forum because the physics GRE is just one aspect of getting accepted into a graduate physics program.
  • There are applications, personal statements, letters of recommendation, visiting schools, anxiety of waiting for acceptances, deciding between schools, finding out where others are going, etc.

Valentine's day expectation

Post by Reinhart » Wed Feb 13, 2019 11:43 am

One shouldn't be single, rejected and dejected at once. If there's a god, I have complaints-
You keep me waiting..... for girlfriends..... for admits.
Second week of Feb is almost over and still haven't received any mail from the graduate schools I applied to.

If you are waiting for your true love, you might prefer no mails rather than rejection mails on Valentine's day. Because rejection hurts more today than any other day.

imagine reading an email from your school that reads like:

"Dear Nishikata,
you are not smart enough for me,
we can't be together"

ouch.
