I am going apply for grad schools in US. How hard it would be for me to survive in a mid level US grad school?

Your question is rather vague.

No one here knows you and thus can't judge how hard it will be for you, personally, to survive. You may want to search the forum for specific questions regarding workloads, expected preparation, etc.

The Beast is right, we don't know anything about you. Still, mid-level schools aren't any easier really. No matter where you're at Jackson is still Jackson, research isn't easy. The top schools don't miraculously make physics harder, nor do the lower end schools make it any easier on you.

the above comments are all correct. here is what I think, if you made it to get into a program, you most likely have the ability to finish that particular program. there is always exceptions though. admission committees hire students with talent and competence so they can accomplish the expectations of the program.
