Want to do Phd in Physics

Hi Everybody,

I am willing to do Phd in Physics in USA. I would appreciate if anybody tell me the procedure to be followed to do phd in USA.

Take the General GRE and Physics GRE

Fill out admissions applications to schools and supply transcripts, letters of recommendation, statement of purpose and anything the schools request as part of the your application package

Cross fingers and pray to god/allah/flying pink unicorn/etc

Just as a side note, this shouldn't necessarily be read as the order in which things should be done, just a list of the basic steps you need to take.

Don't forget taking the TOEFL if you're from a non-English speaking country.

go to physics department website of different universities (google:physics department) and read the prospective graduate students section.
