Theory research terms in the winter?

I am currently an undergraduate student with a couple of publications in hep-th and quant-ph. I am to be going on a work term in January and I'm wondering if there is any theory group at any school that may somehow get funding for hiring an undergraduate student for 4 months? i.e., are there REU/USRA(I'm Canadian) fundings/grants/programs that run in the winter?

(I especially mentioned "theory" because there seem to be plenty of experimentalist jobs in the winter, but very few theory ones)

I also realize this question would fit nicely under the "funding" subforum as well, I'm new to this site should I make a new post under funding or is there some mechanism for syncing this post across both forums?

I was also at a Canadian university doing work terms and my winter work term was for a research group on my campus. USRAs are not limited to the summer but almost all schools do them over the summer. I found my winter research work placement through my school's co-op position database.
