I applied to the following schools in the US:

Cornell, MIT, Haravard, Princeton, upenn, Stanford, Caltech, Berkeley.

My physics GRE was very bad, I got 720 (I did not study).

However, my overall gpa is 3.94 and my major gpa is 3.97. I also have excellent letters of recommendation, am taking a grad class in advanced quantum mechanics ( so far I have an A+) and I conducted research in the mathematics department for the UROP programme. I gave a talk on it and have a poster post in the math department. Also my research report will be published.

I got all A+'s in advanced math and physics courses and am top of my class.

I would like to know if anyone thinks I still have decent chances of being admitted.

Thanks.

Some of those schools weigh the PGRE less heavily than others. I think you have the best chance at Cornell and Penn and the worst chance at MIT and Princeton (unless you have a remarkably good research match or connections). I've never heard of this "Haravard" place, and the others are iffy but not out of the question in my opinion.

Also, don't double post.

Berkeley and U Chicago will give you a much better chance of getting in than Princeton or Harvard, in terms of top 10 schools.
