Major GPA

Post by NightMusic » Tue Jun 07, 2016 3:00 am

It seems like a similar question has been addressed in these forums before, but I'm wondering whether "major GPA" would include only physics courses for the purpose of grad school applications. For example, Calculus I and II are required for Physics I and II at my school, so does that mean that they count into major GPA (even though they aren't technically listed as being required for the major)? Or should I include only courses within the physics department?

Usually, it means all courses that are required for your major, so I included Calculus I and Calculus II in my determination of "major GPA". But you can always check with the department if you are unsure.
