I've looked at some schools' apps.. they don't seem to ask for major gpas.. where do we put that?

in your sop.

take your time to look around the topics in GPA and Transcript section of the forum.

If an app doesn't ask for it there is no need to mention it anywhere unless you want to. For example, if your major gpa is significantly higher than your regular gpa you might mention it in your sop.

Lots of schools want a CV (UChicago, for instance), and so emphasizing it there would be another option.

A bunch of the places I applied asked for it in the application somewhere. It was usually buried next to "Self reported GRE scores". As others mentioned, SOP is a great place to mention it (especially if it's significantly different from your reg GPA like grae said).
