Hi, first time poster. I am a physics major, math minor about to enter my junior year in the fall and I was curious, do graduate schools generally put more emphasis on your physics grades or your overall GPA? As it stands now, there is a discrepancy between the two for myself. I have a 4.0 Physics and Math GPA and a 3.5 overall. When you fill out applications, do they ask specifically for your physics performance, overall, or both?

Most applications ask for both, but most don't pay any attention to overall GPA. I wouldn't care if a student got a D in human sexuality lab, or a C in Roman Mythology. Math and Physics courses are much more important.

D's are great to have in a sexuality lab, even better than C's, B's and A cups.
