Does A+ count?

Just wondering: in my school A+ basically counts as an A in term of GPA. Does the admission committee look at individual grades and make (mental) notes about grades like A+? Will there be a big difference between A+ and A, say in an upper level physics class?

Does it count as a "4" on your GPA? That's an A at most other universities.

In my school, A+ and A both count for 4.0

I mean, just put yourself in the shoes of someone on an admissions committee... sure, it looks nice, but I doubt they pay *too* much attention to it. Of course it looks better than an A, but I don't think any admissions decisions are really going to be made based on an A+ or two versus A's.

And no, in most Universities you can't get above a 4.0, all those A+'s don't affect your GPA
