Usually Photocopies do work. In case some department require "original" copy for application, give them an "attested" copy. Once you get admitted, it would be a better idea to send a notorized copy. It indeed IS difficult to get a second copy of your transcript from South Asian universities.

Yup this is a big headache. People from my university usually get a professor to just sign the photocopies of their transcripts and that's it. I wonder if it helps because some universities clearly state on their webpages that professors can't attest these transcripts.

For me too this transcripts are really getting on my nerves..

My university charges around 100 dollar for 1 set of "original" transcripts. By "original" what they mean is attested copy of all marksheets and certificates put and sealed in an official university envelope.

Whereas I can get simply get attested transcripts from other "unofficial" source in university at the cost of peanuts. And if admission is guaranteed then I have no problems in spending 100 dollar. But to spend 1000 dollars {for 10 universities} just for getting transcripts, is really making me feel guilty about the whole application process...

This should be really frustrating...
Here, fortunately, I don't have to pay a single euro for getting the transcripts and putting them is sealed envelopes; I pay only for sending them.

P.S. Good luck to all who are going to take the test tomorrow :)
