Medical Physics

Post by Beth » Sat Apr 11, 2015 12:15 am

Hi, I have a few questions about applying to medical physics grad programs and I was hoping someone could help me out. I've been looking at past boards on this website and noticed no one really mentions around what grades/experience they have when applying from a physics undergrad to do graduate work in medical physics.

I was just wondering, around what kind of GPA would be needed to get into a top-tier CAMPEP accredited grad program in medical physics (in Canada and USA)? Also, is research experience in the field necessary? I have experience in other physics specialties, just not medphys, and I'm going into my final year of undergrad and just decided now that I think that's what I want to pursue.

In specific, I'm really interested in the "Physics and Biology in Medicine Graduate Program" at UCLA.

If anyone could help me out that would be lovely! Thanks!
