Just realized U Pitt has free apps for US Citizens. I figure I might as well apply to as many with free apps as possible. Any others you folks can think of?

Free apps are a great thing, but I would strongly advise against applying for a school just because it's free. If it's free and it is a good fit for you and you would actually be interested in attending, then go for it. But don't waste your time, your recommenders' time, and the admissions committee's time if you are simply applying because it's free! I think it is actions like this that cause schools to have application fees in the first place--to avoid being flooded with applications from people who are not likely to attend even if accepted!

Fair enough. I definitely wouldn't apply somewhere I wouldn't consider attending, but I'll certainly make sure to consider in full whether I really want to go there or not before submitting an application.
