Hi all,
I am doing Msc. with major in physics with newly found NISER in INDIA. Though teaching quality is good here but it is not so well known like IIT. Does that mean there is very less chance to get admission?
I want to do graduation in theoretical condensed matter in some good universities. General GRE 318/340, TOEFL IBT 100/120, subject yet to give.

I came from an even less recognized institute, but still got great offers. Although having a brand name like IIT on your degree gives you a slight advantage, it doesn't make that much of a difference especially if the rest of your application is strong.
