Summer before grad school

So for those of you who plan to start grad school this fall, what do you plan to do from now until the Fall semester starts? I'm already done with school, so I was thinking of travelling or trying to get an industrial internship. I'm currrently just improving my programming skills and self studying Jackson

I'm going to Paris for whats supposed to be a research internship, but I plan to have a good time in France

what? how were you able to get that position? Are there any similar positions like that still available?

um... it was through an exchange program with my institute. I applied for it back in december though... I doubt there's anything open now

Why aren't you begging profs at your soon-to-be grad school (assuming you decided to go) for research appointments?

Wow. How does one "self-study" Jackson? Are there solutions manuals available?

because the deadlines for summer RAships already passed and the department is very strict about following the deadlines. Its really sad since I missed it by a week

I'm more just skimming the reading and looking at some of the solutions. Yes, theres plenty of websites that have the solutions

I'll be studying for Part I of the prelim at my school, and finishing research at my undergrad school. Anyone else going to MIT? Maybe we can get together in August and form a study group.

You have to take your prelims BEFORE you take the courses? What??
