my friend

Postby betelgeuse1 » Tue Feb 02, 2010 5:26 am

a friend of mine tries to figure out a suitable school... his profile is:
gre phys: 740 62%
gre general Q 740 81%
gre writing 3.5 20%
gre verbal 520 66%
toefl 114
he has some research in fields like molecular physics, molecular dynamics simulations for bio-phys, some large fortran codes about that, some solid state stuff like DFT, especially theory
what do you think? Is it possible to go into top 50?
Thanks for your help

I know it's a typical question but he insisted in asking it here and as I have an account I said I can do it. If someone can give some ideas please do so!
Thanks!

ok, another question from my friend: what are the schools that accept spring applications? (by the way, I think my friend has some things to learn about applications... but I ask, and you'll see what you'll answer...)
