Based off your scores and interests, I would suggest checking out a school like Northern Illinois University. They have a pretty good sized high energy group and do a lot of work with Fermilab, but they aren't as competitive for admissions as a top 10 like University of Chicago.

Hello Sabbir,

I am a Bangladeshi as well, but I graduated from an undergraduate institution in USA. I would seriously suggest that you improve your GRE scores. Universities in USA have a totally different standard for internationals with home degrees.

Not to pile on, but even a domestic student needs at least a 760 QUAL to have a reasonable chance at a "ranked" university - the standard will be much higher with an international student. I would suggest City College of New York -- they have fairly reasonable admissions standards, and a good enough reputation that you might be able to transfer to a "ranked" school after a year or two. Good luck!
