Hey everyone, I just got my pgre score and wanted to decide which schools to apply to. I would be grateful if any of you could help me decide which schools to apply to. Here's my profile -
Applicant Type - Indian Male
Undergrad Institute - Top 10 school in India
CGPA (Indian System) - 7.05/10 (average cgpa is around 6, passing cgpa is 4.5)
PGRE Score - 870/990 (80th Percentile)
GRE Score - 320/340 (Verbal - 155, Quant - 165, AW - 3)
TOEFL Score - 115/120
Applied for PhD in high energy theory and cosmology
Research Experience - 1. Six month long thesis at a renowned university under a renowned prof. Topic of thesis - Superconformal Representation theory. 2. Another six month project on AdS/CFT at another renowned university.
Letters writers - one letter from a renowned prof (my thesis advisor), two letters from not well known profs at my university.
Awards - was among the top 1% at a national level undergrad physics olympiad with around 12k participants.
I am applying primarily in high energy theory and cosmology. Intended Schools - stony brook, usc, brandeis, rutgers, texas a&m, kentucky, northeastern, nyu, michigan, suny albany, mcgill, john hopkins. Do I have a reasonable chance at any of these places?
