Condensed Matter at UC Riverside - Opinions?

Post by otto » Thu Mar 06, 2008 9:16 pm

I was just wondering if anyone had thoughts or opinions about the UCR program. I am looking specifically at condensed matter (as the title well implies).
Thanks in advance...

It might not have the name-factor, but talking to my professors and advisers, they all call it an "up-and-coming" program in condensed matter. On the experimental side, the Kawakami group is doing some really awesome stuff in spintronics. He post-doc'd at the UCSB center for spintronics and quantum computation, so he has a good pedigree.
