Hi, can someone have some comment or advice on my school selection? I am applying for schools in the area of quantum gravity or AdS/CFT... I made a list of schools I want to apply. Am I being too confident about my school selection?

Thank you! But I heard it could be really competitive in high energy theory admission, plus I am an international student, so I don't know if I should have so much confidence... Do you know in high energy theory area, what is the average level for an international student to be admitted to good schools, like, ivy leagues?msdecaro wrote:You have great test scores and a strong GPA, and a great research background. My honest impression is that you are -underestimating- what your 'match' schools are. I don't know what schools have good quantum gravity programs, but if you can afford it consider adding a few more 'reach' schools to your list (maybe ivy leagues?). I think you have a fair shot at them. Good luck!
