Post by Siddhant » Thu Nov 27, 2014 2:33 pm

How are the chances for An ECE* engineering undergrad from a top NIT in India aspiring for a PhD program in Theoretical Physics, who has Taken most of the advanced graduate math courses. Standardized test scores 80th percentile, GPA 8.4/10 in engineering and 2 single author publications (1 in American Journal of Physics, http://arxiv.org/abs/1404.0750) Interned at TIFR (Tata Institute of Fundamental Research) through the VSRP fellowship in Theoretical Condensed Matter Physics and aspiring for a major publication from this. (would be applying for a 5yr PhD program in Theoretical Physics) All three letters of Recommendations r very Strong. Looking forward to your suggestion and help.

Thanks in advance.

* ECE: electronics and communication Engineering
