Help Me Understand Mechanical Advantage Please

ok, I know that being further away and using a fulcrum/pivot point from an object being moved takes less energy. i.e using a 4 foot crow bar to pry open something. But i can't grasp the concept of why being further away makes it so much easier. thanks

Was told it's the same energy but less force, so wondering why it takes less force.

It's one thing to read the equations and understand that a longer lever arm gives you more torque, etc. It's another thing to have an intuitive understanding of why this should be so. That's not very easy to google.
