==> Sticky: Physics GRE 4 Practice Tests and Solutions
I keep on seeing people either unaware that there are practice tests or that are unable to find them. In an effort to help people who may not have the google-foo, I'm linking them here.

Re: Physics GRE practice tests (sticky please?)
Thank you for the web-page, for the great links, for the books quoted here and all that! I had also no idea about these things for my first PGRE preparation. The only test given by ETS is not enough! so again:
Thank you, Thank you, Thank you

Re: Physics GRE practice tests
Wondering what would be the rating for the difficulty level of each exam on a scale of four, 4 being the toughest. We can always get an idea by the no of Qs answered right -percentile scores.Curious to know how the experts feel, so that I can arrange accordingly for my practice.
I want to take the toughest one in the middle of my preparation and leave the next toughest towards the end.

Re: Physics GRE practice tests
'toughest' is a judgement call, since the tests are all scaled differently. I think the '96 test is the hardest conceptually, while the '86 exam has more trick questions and tough clalculations.

Hi Everyone,
I took the practice tests which were originally around 30MB and compressed them down so they are all at 1MB. I also put together a file with what ETS has to say about topics on the test.

I'm going to say this in the nicest possible way I can.Quantum Triviality wrote:Hi Everyone,

Also, one cannot overemphasize the usefulness of the complete solutions worked out at grephysics.net
I'm starting grad school in the fall and will be blogging about my experiences applying to grad school. I will try to keep ahead of the application process, so I will talk about studying for the physics gre soon. Check out the blog at http://tiny.cc/QuantTriv

PS Can a moderator make this a sticky up towards the top of this topic?
It's generally a bad idea to spam a forum with links to your own blog in every post you make. I realize that you are trying to make it seem like your link dropping is relevant to the content but I can assure you that it is quite obvious that you are shoehorning it in.

Re: ==> Sticky: Physics GRE 4 Practice Tests and Solutions
Sorry, I have no idea, it will be my first PGRE.
Re: ==> Sticky: Physics GRE 4 Practice Tests and Solutions
The September PGRE was of similar difficulty to the latest practice test - but don't forget that if everyone does well, the raw score needed also goes up.
